Forde still grabbing the headlines

Mattie Forde may have retired from inter-county football, but he is still producing the goods at club level.

Last weekend saw the first round of the Wexford senior football championship begin and Forde's Kilanerin took on their neighbours Castletown.

An impressive 1-11 by the former county star, 1-8 of which came from play helped Kilanerin to a 3-13 to 2-3 victory.

More performances like that and Wexford manager Aidan O'Brien may be knocking on the former All-Star's door before the Leinster campaign begins.
