Our junior men traveled to Joristown park Raharney on Sunday last to take on a unbeaten Ballinagore in round 5 of the junior 1 football championship section B.

Unfortunately the game didn't go our way .

Our lads really gave everything.

But it wasn't enough on the day.

Ballinagore now move on to the junior quarter finals and we wish them the very best of luck.

Ladies football. Result.

Junior B semi-final. Shandonagh 1-9.  Ballycomoyle 0-3.

Our adult ladies were in semi final action on Sunday afternoon last in Multyfarnham Gaa grounds. On a glorious afternoon, playing conditions were perfect. Facing last years beaten finalists, our girls were hoping to make it 3 finals in a row.

From the first whistle, it was the opposition who looked the sharper, Ballycomoyle struggled to get hold of the game, some good duels on the pitch, however. After a tough first half, our girls went in 7 points behind.

Onto the 2nd half, some positional changes Ballycomoyle knew they had to dig deep, playing with the wind they registered there first score  however again we struggled to contain the opposition and after they scored a goal our task was even harder. A red card for one of the Ballycomoyle girls was unfortunate, Ballycomoyle emptied the bench with 10 mins to go, but alas, the result was beyond our girls.

Many thanks to our ladies and their management team.

Thanks to the referee, to the travelling support, to our ladies who stuck with the process throughout, well see you back on the pitch next season.
