Castlepollard have made a high profile appointment as manager for the 2017 campaign.
Former Laois senior hurling manager Damien Fox has taken the reins of the side as they bid to win the SHC for the first time since 2005.
Fox has a wealth of managerial experience and guided Laois to a Division 2 title in 2007, while he has also managed Clonaslee Gaels, Tinnahinch, Portlaoise (all Laois) as well as Castletown Geoghegan and Dublin side Lucan Sarsfields.
The former Offaly and London hurler who won a SHC medal with his native club in 2009 at the age of 48, takes over from Jody Murray who guided the club to the 2014 SHC final.
Pollard have some of the best talent in the county at their disposal, but they underperformed this year and failed to make the semi-final stage.
