SENIOR LEAGUE.
Tyrrellspass senior team continued their unbeaten run in the Senior league with a hard earned draw away to Maryland last Sunday evening. With the game played in very wet conditions Tyrrellspass started the brighter with a point from Jack Glennon. Jamie Gonoud then drove the ball to the back of the net to put Tyrrellspass 1-1 up after 4m. Maryland responded well and drew level with a goal and a point . The game became a bit of a stalemate after the early bright start but Tyrrellspass did add on points from Conor Slevin 10m, Aaron O'Brien 16m and Gavin Hoey 22m. Tyrrellspass last score of the half came from David Glennon with a well taken goal. Maryland did get 2 late points to leave the half time score Tyrrellspass 2-4 Maryland 1-3. Maryland started the second half the brighter and got two early points. Points from David Glennon and Aaron O Brien kept Tyrrellspass 4 points clear. With condition getting worse their was a lot of mistakes being made on both sides. Tyrrellspass got their final score of the game in the 45m with a point from Gavin Hoey to put them 5 points clear, but the home side never have up and got the last five points to leave the final score Tyrrellspass 2-7 to Maryland 1-10. Division Three.

Our division three team played Moate last Friday evening in Moate and despite fielding a very young team they put up a very good display against a strong Moate team. Tyrrellspass were first to score with two points from Conor Slevin . Moate got the upper hand and drew level with two points . A further point from Jack Glennon in the 11m would be our last score for a while. Moate got Six points without reply to leave the score Tyrrellspass 0-3 to Moate 0-8 with two minutes left in the half . Then in the final minute of the half Darren Rigney got on the end of a pass to buried the ball to the back of the net to leave two points between the sides at half time. Moate came out stronger in the second half and with the aid of a strong wind they scored 8 points to Tyrrellspass 1 coming from Jack Glennon. To leave the final score Tyrrellspass 1-4 to Moate 0-16. The final score does not reflect the way this young team played and hopefully it will stand to them in the future . GOLF CLASSIC.
