Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club has qualified for the Division 1 final of the 2026 Senior Camogie League.
That fixture, Lough Lene Gaels v Raharney, is scheduled to be played during the course of next weekend, Saturday and Sunday, July 11th/12th.
David Smyth Catering Senior Camogie Championship
Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club is one of five clubs that is participating in the 2026 David Smyth Catering Senior Camogie Championship along with Castletown Geoghegan, Clonkill, Drumraney and Raharney.
All matches in the Divisional phase of this competition will be played on a single round basis. The first round draw is, Lough Lene Gaels v Drumraney, Raharney v Clonkill, while Castletown Geoghegan has a Round 1 bye. First named teams have home advantage in Round 1 matches. Round 1 matches are scheduled to be played on Sunday August 16th, with 11am match starting times. Following the competition of the playing of all Divisional matches, the team in first place will qualify for the final of this competition. The teams placed second and third will contest a semi final match, while the teams placed fourth and fifth will contest a relegation play off match.

Lough Lene Gaels v Delvin, was a Round 1 match of the 2026 U14 Division 1 Camogie Championship, that was played at Decotek Park Collinstown on Wednesday evening, July 1st. Lough Lene Gaels won this, a well contested fixture versus Delvin, the 2026 U12 Division 1 Camogie League title winners.
A Quarter of Century Ago - 2001
Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club 25 years ago, on Sunday July 8th 2001, played for the first time in a Westmeath Senior A Camogie Championship Final. That fixture, Lough Lene Gaels v St Munnas, was played at Loughegar on a beautiful day as regards the weather, and with a large number of spectators in attendance. St Munnas were attempting to win the Westmeath Senior A Camogie Championship title for a 14th year in succession.

U16 Camogie Championship Division 1
Lough Lene Gaels v Drumraney was a Round 2 fixture of the 2026 U16 Division 1 Camogie Championship, a fixture played at Decotek Park, Collinstown, on the evening of Friday June 26th. Lough Lene Gaels opened match scoring in this match and held the match lead at half time. Drumraney are applauded and lauded for their application and resilience in terms of their overall team performance throughout the full duration of this Round 2 match of the U16 Division 1 Camogie Championship fixture. Lough Lene Gaels won this match.
Glen Dimplex All Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship
Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club warmly and sincerely congratulates the Westmeath panel of players, its own player representives in particular, and the team management, on winning a Glen Dimplex All Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship relegation play off match, Westmeath v Carlow, that was played at UPMC Nowlan Park, Kilkenny, on Sunday July 5th. Westmeath 1.16 (19) Carlow (2.09), was the match result. Well done! Westmeath’s participation in that competition has now drawn to a conclusion for 2026, at least though on a very positive note!
