Under 12 Girls Report.

On a very wet evening our under 12 girls made the journey to St. Loman's for our next round of Go Games. We are so lucky with this group of girls who always show up and play their best. It was a miserable evening for football but that didn’t stop these girls. They played brilliant football and showed great team work with super passing and determination. Thanks again as always to the parents who brought them to the game and for their support.

Well done girls.

Many Congratulations to St. Mary's National School Collinstown, on winning the Cumann Na mBunscol Division 1 Boys hurling final on Tuesday evening last 19/5/26 against Scoil Mhuire Loughegar.

Fantastic achievement Boys a massive well done to everyone involved.

Inny shamrocks 4-9

St Michaels 4-6

On a wet and cold evening St Michaels travelled to Ballinacargy to fulfil the last round of the Division 3 league for this year.

St Michael's started well and registered a few early scores in a contest where scoring chances were hard to come by.

Goals were the undoing of some class defending from St. Michael's who came within the minimum of forcing a draw but it was not to be. 

The home side took the 2 points on offer.

This brings a conclusion to the league and we will begin to plan for championship in the next few weeks. 

Thanks to Inny Shamrocks and Referee Eoin Gorman for a great match in poor conditions.

Under 16 girls.

Our under 16 ladies played their final league game on Tuesday evening last 19/5/26 against Killucan. 

Venue Killucan .

Killucan made the best start and were 4 points up before the Ballycomoyle girls got their first score. 

At half time the killucan ladies were ahead on a Score line 2-07 to 0-01

After the break and Ballycomoyle playing with the wind the girls played some lovely football and when the final whistle went it was killucan who came away with the 2 league points on offer.

The girls and management team now moved on to the 2026 championship.

LSt Michaels 3-13

Athlone 7-10

St Michaels minors completed their monor league with a heartbreaker in Athlone. 

St Michaels lead throughout the contest with exceptional scores in the heat by the shannon but the victory was beyond them with two late penalties settling the tie.

Many thanks to the 16 players who traveled, to ref Shane Carroll and Athlone GAA.
