Result

Junior ladies.

Ballycomoyle 3-07 Kilbeggan Shamrocks 3-08

League.

Division 5.

Ballycomoyle ladies tasted defeat for the first time this year by the Narrowest of margins. At home on Friday evening last 1/5/26 to a well drilled Kilbeggan outfit the Ballycomoyle ladies found themselves down by 5 at the break following a very competitive half of football. It was the first game played by both teams after the introduction of the new rules but all players adapted quickly. Like previous games the Ballycomoyle ladies rallied in the second half playing flowing football with some clever finishing on display. The home side just came up short at the final whistle having hit the crossbar late on; a few inches lower and the home side would have secured a deserved win.

Many thanks to Kilbeggan Shamrocks for a very sporting game of football.

Also many thanks to Referee Michael Gordon.

Result.

Ballycomoyle U14 Girls got their league campaign off to a fantastic start with a well-earned victory over St. Paul’s Delvin on Thursday evening last 30/4/26.

This was a special occasion for the team, with several players experiencing their first ever game on a full pitch. The squad rose to the challenge brilliantly, showing great determination, teamwork, and skill throughout the match. A special mention goes to the three U12 players who stepped up and played their part with confidence well beyond their years.

From the throw-in, Ballycomoyle worked hard as a unit, supporting each other in attack and defence. Their efforts paid off on the scoreboard, finishing with an impressive tally of 3-8. St. Paul’s Delvin battled hard and contributed 5-1 in what was an entertaining and competitive game.

Every player played their role, and the team’s work rate and positive attitude were clear to see.

Final Score:

Ballycomoyle 3-8

St. Paul’s Delvin 5-1

A brilliant start to the season well done, girls!

Report.

On Saturday morning Ballycomoyle attended u8 and u10 girls go games in CFCW. We played St Paul's and Mullingar Shamrocks in a very well organised blitz. We got a little bit wet but that didn't dampen our spirits and we had a very enjoyable morning of football. Our own young girls showed off the skills they are learning every Thursday evening at training. Thanks to all the young girls and their parents that travelled to Castletown and I hope all the girls had a great morning of football and fun.

St Michaels.

Round 3. Re fixed match.

St Michaels v Milltownpass

After the tragic passing of Milltownpass clubman Damian (the Red) Loran Rip. These two teams lined out on Wednesday evening last 29/4/26 on a glorious evening for this re fixed match

Both teams played some fantastic football but the home team had the upper hand throughout and recorded a comprehensive victory which will bring some joy after a sad time.

Many thanks to players, ref and mentors.

Next up is the visit of Cill Oige on Bank Holiday Monday in Ballycomoyle.

Under 12 girls Report.

Ballycomoyle v Mullingar Shamrocks.

Our Under 12 girls competed in their first home game on Tuesday evening last 28/4/26 against a strong Mullingar Shamrocks side.

In glorious sunshine, our girls settled well, playing some good football and contesting well in all areas. A mixture of 1st & 2nd Year of under 12 girls gelled quickly. They came out deserved winners, and the smiles on the faces after the match showed their delight.

Thanks to referee John Williams and Umpire David Kelly. Thanks to Mullingar Shamrocks for a great contest.
