Kilbeggan Shamrocks GAA Notes

Underage

Our underage training sessions have been very well attended since they returned in the last few weeks.

With 107 kids attending our most recent session last Thursday, there is a need for additional mentors, especially for our younger age groups. Please contact Fergal Fox if you are willing to volunteer to support our underage in any way. Training and guidance will be provided. Parents are also asked to socially distance if attending training.

Please follow Covid guidelines by filling out your child's returntoplay.gaa.ie form. Coaches are reminded that they must complete the GAA’s Temporary Safeguarding 1 Programme online if they haven’t done so already. It takes just an hour-and-a-half to complete.

Lotto

Last week’s lucky numbers were 7, 12, 26 and 27. There were two draw winners, Moss Keenan and Andy Meares. The draw takes place every Tuesday at 9pm live on our Facebook page. Tickets can be purchased online or in local shops. This week’s jackpot is €2,900.

New Tyrone captain

Congratulations to Padraig Hampsey on his appointment as Tyrone senior football captain. The All-Star defender is a nephew of Annie Nannery, wife of Kilbeggan legend Martin ‘Butcher’ Nannery, while his father, Padraig Snr, worked in Powerscreen’s Kilbeggan plant many years ago.
