Ardmore (Waterford) 3-11
Fethard St Mogues (Wexford) 0-18
After extra-time
Ardmore needed extra-time to see off Fethard St Mogues in a thrilling All-Ireland club JHC final at Croke Park.
Fethard looked set to prevail when they led by a point at the end of the 60 minutes, but Ardmore forced extra-time thanks to a last-gasp David Gartland effort. John Gartland scored his second goal in extra-time and the cup was bound for Waterford.
Mark Wallace and Michael Dwyer were both on target as Fethard opened up an early 0-3 to 0-1 lead. But a goal from former Waterford star Seamus Prendergast brought Ardmore to life and a point from centre back Seamus Keating ensured them of a 1-4 to 0-6 lead at half-time.
Ardmore tightened their grip on proceedings when John Gartland fired home their second goal seven minutes after the restart after Prendergast had put pressure on the St. Mogues goalkeeper Sean Foley, but the Wexford men responded with four unanswered points to regain parity.
A Wallace free had them in front near the end, but there was still time for David Gartland to level it once again.
In extra-time, points from Prendergast (two) and David Gartland put the winners three in front before a Wallace '65 left Fethard trailing 0-15 to 2-11 at the change of ends.
Michael Dwyer had reduced the deficit to the minimum before John Gartland's second green flag effectively decided it.
