Glaschu Gaels GFC, Glasgow are actively bringing Gaelic football back to the Clydebank area for the first time in many years.
The club mens and ladies teams presently line out in the locality at Peterson Park, Yoker and the club has also began the process of developing an underage section working to bring through home grown players from the local population.

The good work that has been put in by the club coaches Shane Moran, Sinead Curley, Siobhan Ellen, Derek Harvey and Aidan Kerlin, since the underage launch on St Patricks Day 2014 as well as the all-important support provided by Scottish CDA Ronan McCarthy was in evidence last Friday 16th May as the club hosted its first underage blitz, the fourth such event to take place in Scotland in 2014.

Welcoming clubs from across Scotland to the home of their Youth Development at Clydebank Community Sports Hub, Glaschu Gaels Juniors took part in their first competitive action with visiting teams Dunedin Óg, Coatbridge Davitts and Tír Conaill Harps providing quality opposition teams for an excellent event.

"The new underage team, Glasgow Gaels Juniors, catering for 8 to 12 year olds in the wider Clydebank area has been a massive success since we launched it in March this year, with attendance at training between 35 and 40 kids each week," Club Secretary Ronan McDermott said.

"Furthermore, one of our coaches, Shane Moran, has just been nominated for one of West Dumbartonshire Leisure's 2014 Sports Awards in Clydebank Town Hall for his role as Young Person's Coach, showing the recognition we have already received within local sports circles."

Elsewhere, the senior mens and ladies teams are looking for Site Manager and QS Site roles for an active construction site in Scotland
