Tyrone forward Mattie Donnelly says the Red Hands’ next two Allianz League outings are “massive” as they gear up for next month’s Ulster SFC preliminary round showdown with rivals Armagh.

After a couple of defeats in Division 2, Malachy O’Rourke’s side secured a vital win over Offaly last weekend to move up to five points on the league table and three points away from the relegation zone.

Speaking to BelfastLive.co.uk, the Trillick clubman said that Tyrone had “no right” to win any game as their league campaign gets set to draw to a close with tough outings against promotion chasing Meath and Cork.

“Those two games are massive,” Donnelly stated.

“They are obviously a massive step up too and the level that we want to be testing ourselves at. We’ve a lot to work on.

“We are a team that’s learning every week. We’ve young players getting debuts every week. We are taking the learnings from each game and we’re going to bring that into the next day out and see where that takes us.”
