Tipperary SHC draw pits holders Loughmore/Castleiney against neighbours JK Brackens

The draws for the 2025 Tipperary senior hurling and football championships were made last night (Thursday).

Defending champions Loughmore/Castleiney have been drawn into Group 3 alongside neighbours JK Brackens, Drom-Inch and North side Lorrha, while last year’s beaten finalists Toomevara are in Group 1 with 2023 winners Kiladangan, Holycross/Ballycahill and Clonoulty/Rossmore.

In Group 2 of the Dan Breen Cup race, it’s Thurles Sarsfields, Nenagh Eire Og, Cashel King Cormacs and Mullinahone, with Group 4 being made up of Moycarkey-Borris, 2022 champions Kilruane MacDonaghs, Roscrea and Borris-Ileigh.

The 2025 Tipperary senior football championship is made up of two groups of four and one group of six, with Kilsheelan/Kilcash, Cahir, Ballyporeen and Aherlow in Group 1 and Clonmel Commercials, Ballina, Ardfinnan and Grangemockler/Ballyneale in Group 2.

The six-team group is made up of Moyle Rovers, Loughmore/Castleiney, Arravale Rovers, JK Brackens, Upperchurch/Drombane and Killenaule, with the top four advancing to the quarter-finals and bottom two into relegation.
