Tipperary boss David Power reckons the Allianz Football League’s integrity has been damaged by Leitrim’s decision to hand a walkover to Down last Saturday.

Terry Hyland’s side conceded the points instead of travelling to Newry due to a "lack of playing numbers available to travel."

The Connacht side are down to face Tipp in a crunch survival clash in Division 3 next Sunday in Carrick-on-Shannon, but Power has questioned whether it can now be played.

"I think the whole integrity of the league is damaged after what Leitrim did," he is quoted saying by RTE Sport.

"There was no mention of how many cases or anything like that. I thought it was very, very poor to be giving a walkover.

"If I was [third-placed] Derry I would be very, very upset as well because not only does it affect the bottom of the league it certainly affected the top of the league. I think there is a lot of people very disappointed in what happened.

"At the end of the day we will be going up to Leitrim but if they are in isolation the rules are 14 days, how are they going to be able to play next weekend?"
