Four Roads are celebrating a 35th Roscommon SHC title.

Two late goals from Brendan Mulry secured Four Roads a 35th Roscommon senior hurling championship title at the expense of Padraig Pearses in Athleague today.

Pearses only trailed by two points (1-13 to 0-14) at the end of the third-quarter, but Mulry's brace between the 22nd and 27th minutes set the roll of honour leaders up for what turned out to be a comfortable 3-14 to 0-15 victory. Four Roads didn't take the lead until the 13th minute of the second-half when Cathal Dolan clipped over a free.

With the wind at their backs, Pearses made all the early running with points from Matthew Comerford, Dara Finn, Daniel Glynn (free) and Oisin Kelly helping them to a 0-4 to 0-0 lead after eight minutes. But Four Roads were within a point at the interval, 1-6 to 0-10, after Dolan's opening goal just before the break brought them level before Champion 15 recipient Glynn edged Pearses back to the front.
