Roscommon made it through to back-to-back Connacht U20 football championship finals when they pyloned the pressure on Sligo at Dr Hyde Park.

The Liam Tully managed outfit finished with seven points to spare - 4-13 to 2-12 - over their opponents on home turf this evening.

Centre-forward James Fitzpatrick registered 2-2 while Ronan Garvin and Adam Doory also raised green flags for the winners who led 1-8 to 0-3 at the break.

Sligo were left to rue a poor opening half and the concession of Fitzpatrick's goal just before the break left them with too much to do.

Although Dessie Sloyan's side hit back with goals of their own from Sean Carroll and Joseph Keaney, they were always chasing the game.

The Rossies will now meet Mayo in next Wednesday's decider at MacHale Park, looking to go one better than last year when beaten 20 points by Galway.
