Senior Championship Clontibret 2-11 Donaghmoyne 2-11
A third successive championship draw means that this week’s clash with Inniskeen is essentially a knockout tie. The game is fixed for 2pm Sunday and will be played under the new Covid restrictions on attendance.
New Field Development
It was great to see the new Prunty pitch fully lined and flagged following the recent erection of goalposts, nets and ball stops and it is now in use. This has come about as a result of the drive and ambition of our development committee over the past ten years and the great support that our members have provided through the Clontibret Our Future Fund, The drive for this year’s contributions has been stalled during the Covid lockdown but we are now reigniting that and promoters will be calling again in the coming days and weeks. While some people may not be in a position to make their contribution right now we hope that most will, to provide the necessary finance to finish off this great project. Next on the list is a concrete plinth and metre high fence around the new pitch and works to complete the new car park with drainage and surfacing. Both the new pitch and car park are a wonderful addition to our facilities and it would be great to bring them to completion in the current year so please be as generous as you can when your Clontibret Our Future promoter contacts you.
