Tyrone will open their Ulster U20 football championship defence against Down following this week’s draw for the 2023 provincial competition.

After defeating Cavan in this year’s provincial decider, the Red Hands went on to reach the All-Ireland final where they saw off Kildare with six points to spare to claim the Clarke Cup for a sixth time.

It’s now confirmed that Paul Devlin’s side will face Down with home advantage in the quarter-finals next year, with Donegal up against Antrim and Fermanagh hosting Derry in the last eight.

The winners of Monaghan versus Armagh in the competition preliminary round will play 2022 runners up Cavan in the quarter-finals.
