Oram club notes

September 15, 2020

u13 Final: Our u13 lost out to a stronger Aughnamullen on Saturday last, two early goals were essentially the difference between the sides as try as we might we couldnt reduce the deficit to any less than two points, with goals from Patrick Laverty and Stephen Kelly in the second half. Aughnamullen responded with four unanswered points. The fact that this is the third year in a row we have played at division 2 level at the u13 grade is promising, and while results may not have gone our way this grade is a learning environment for years ahead, thanks to our management team for there work with this group and to Noel Laverty who sponsored the meal for the team after the game.

RESERVE CHAMPIONSHIP: We entertained Inniskeen on Saturday evening in a high score affair the visitors ran out comprehensive winners in the end, despite a good performance from our lads who hit 211, and competed very well against strong senior opposition, 1st half goals from Rory Murphy and debutant Ryan Mc Kernan kept us in touch. The high fielding of Gary Ward who was also making his debut was a feature of the game, Stephen Irwin & Tristan Keenan also contributed scores, our next game is away to Emyvale on Sunday week.
