JFC: Our championship journey came to an abrupt end when we bowed out to a strong Aughnamullen outfit in Blackhill last Sunday, the scoreline didn't reflect the effort of our players over the hour who competed for long periods and but for some wayward shooting the game could have been much closer before Aughnamullen late brace of goals. Although disappointed we can look back on championship campaign with pride, the team performances lifted in the spirits of all in the club and created a buzz in the club not seen in recent years, there is optimism that with continued progress we can compete at the top end of junior ranks again next session, we thank our players for commitment and our management team of Rory Woods, Mark Mone, Tony Graham, and first aid Philip Mone who left no stone unturned over the last two years as the team made considerable progress. Thanks to Louise, and her helpers who feed our team and supporters throughout the campaign. We wish Aughnamullen well in the junior final.
U17: The Clan Na Gael u17s completed there program of games on Sunday morning losing out to Clontibret in the shield semi, thanks to Brian Mc Guinness & John Mone for managing the young squad who are practically all underage next season, in a highly competitive division the team competed well.
U15: Produced there best performance to date to beat a fancied Latton in Oram last Thursday night, the win puts Clan Na Gael in a play off with Inniskeen to decide who finishes in 4th place on Saturday week
U13: Play Aughnamullen in the shield final on Saturday in Cremartin, this promises to be a close and keenly contested affair, best of luck to team and management
SPONSORSHIP: Thanks to our large number of sponsors who contributed much needed funds to our club over the championship campaign, with no gates this sponsorship was the club only source of income, club supporters and local business gave generously which helped run the football teams over the last three months
