Kiltale's Conor McNally and Paddy Barnwell Kildalkey collide during the Brendan Davis Cup final at Kildalkey

Kildalkey 0-19 Kiltale 1-12

In a repeat of the last years final Kildalkey turned the tables on Kiltale to claim the Brendan Davis Cup with four points to spare on the back pitch at Fr. Plunkett Memorial Park.

It continues an amazing run for Nick Fitzgeralds charges who have already claimed the senior, intermediate and junior championships along with the Billy Byrne Cup.

The Jubilee Cup winners led at the break 0-11 to 0-6. Man of the Match in the county final Evan Fitzgerald opened the scoring. A string of points from Nicky Potterton (3), Paddy Barnwell, Brian Conneely, Brian O’Halloran and Paddy Conneely (2) opened up a 0-9 to 0-3 lead after twenty minutes. Fine scores from James Kelly and Jack Regan kept Kiltale ticking over before the break.

With Paddy Conneely and Nicky Potterton to the fore in the second half Kildalkey kept the scoreboard working and the goal that Kiltale needed only arrived in the last minute courtesy of full forward Chris Reilly.

After the game Colin Brennan along with members of the Davis family presented the Brendan Davis Cup to Kildalkey captain David Conneely.
