Meath huddle before their NFL round 3 clash with Derry at Owenbeg

After last weekend's highs and lows Meath GAA fans are faced with another bumper weekend of action.

The club cup competitions are down to the last four. Donaghmore/Ashbourne, Summerhill, Gaeil Colmcille and St Peter's, Dunboyne are on the hunt for Feis Cup glory.

The semi-final pairing in the Corn na Boinne, Castletown V Duleek-Bellewstown and St Patrick's V Oldcastle should provide plenty of excitement.

Clann na nGael v Kilbride and Kilmainham v Dunsany contest the Tailteann Cup while Moynalty and Slane will battle in out to see who takes on Boardsmill in the Tailteann Shield final.

The Meath ladies senior football squad will be looking to get over that disappointment of last Saturday’s shock defeat to Mayo when they make the trip to Brosna to take on top of the table and unbeaten Kerry in round 5 of the LIDL Division 1 FL. The last time these two sides met the Royals were celebrating back to back All Ireland senior football championship titles at Croke Park.

While the footballers are heading to the Kingdom the Meath senior camogie team have home comforts against the same opposition in round 2 of the Division 2A league. Manager Brendan Skehan was delighted with their opening round win over Laois while Kerry earned a draw against Westmeath at home.

There’s no let up for O’Carolan College Nobber. After their emphatic Leinster final win over Coláiste Cois Life on Wednesday the Leinster champions take on Dean Maguirc Carrickmore in the All-Ireland PPS 'C' semi-final.

A large crowd is expected at Pairc Tailteann on Sunday for the National Football League Division 2 round 4 meeting with neighbours Louth. After good wins over Cork and Clare, Colm O’Rourke’s charges were no match for Derry last Saturday under lights in Owenbeg. The Wee County men will look to their performance against the Ulster champions for inspiration, only a goal separated the teams in round 2. Colm O’Rourke and Mickey Harte will see this one as a must win game.
