Meath's James Murray

Meath claimed the Richie McElligott Cup (All Ireland U20 B hurling championship) title in fine style last night in Newry.

Peter Durnin’s charges were convincing winners in their three game campaign and scored an impressive 9-61 while conceding 3-44.

Quarter Final: Meath 4-24 Wicklow 1-13

Semi final: Meath 3-18 Down 2-12.

Final: Meath 2-19 Derry 0-19

Half forward James Murray had plenty to celebrate in the last three days. On Sunday he claimed his first Jubilee Cup medal and last night hit eleven points as the Royals claimed the All-Ireland title. The rising Trim star also finished top of the Meath scoring charts over their three games. 

Murray scored 2-12 against Wicklow, 0-1 against Down and 0-11 against Derry to finished with an impressive 2-24.
