Na Fianna pay tribute to the late Andy Barrett
It is with great sadness that we have learned of the untimely passing of Andy.
Andy was a former player with the Enfield GFC club and was an outstanding footballer.
Teammates of his fondly remember a gentleman, a great teammate full of wit & humour and a brilliant footballer too. He was well known for his witty one liners and his use of old sayings!
Andy was part of the Enfield GFC team that won the Meath Junior B Football Championship in 1987, featuring on the team alongside his two brothers Jim and John.
Andy’s son Stephen played underage football with the old Clan Na Gael Juvenile club and Andy’s brother Jim has been heavily involved in the Na Fianna club as a coach. Jim’s sons Shane and Dean have been massive parts of Na Fianna’s Senior Football team in recent years.
