Wolfe Tones manager Tony Kearney

Our photo was taken moments before end of the 2006 Meath Senior Football Championship final.

Wolfe Tones manager Tony Kearney takes a moment away from the hustle of the dugout to ponder on what he and his team are about to achieve.

Moments later, referee Jim Smith blows the full time whistle and the Tones are Keegan Cup champions for the first and only time.

A remarkable achievement considering that the club won the junior championship under the guidance of Kearney in 2003 and the IFC the following year.

Wolfe Tones defeated O’Mahonys in that senior decider 1-9 to 1-7.
