It was a year like no other. It all began with the usual expectations. Clubs preparing for the start of the leagues in February with an eye on championship honours later on in the year. Covid-19 put an end to all that and it seemed for a long time that we would see no club action at all.
Thankfully that all changed and fair play to the Meath County Board, Meath LGFA and Meath Camogie for getting most of their competitions completed.
Ratoath, Ballinabrackey, Ballivor, Dunboyne (ladies) and Kilmessan (camogie) were the big winners while the newly formed Premier Championships offered a new lease of life to club second strings.
The major hurling honours have yet to be decided but no doubt Trim and Ratoath (Senior) along with Wolfe Tones and Boardsmill (Intermediate) will have their big day out in early 2021.
