Clubs You Have A Soft Spot For

(Oldest Posts First)

I thought the Programme for the weekends county finals was fantastic. One thing that i found particularly interesting was asking the players that were interviewed if they had a soft spot for any club outside of their own.
Who do posters on HS like to see doing well in either code outside of their own clubs?

Seeing as the club football is now finished and the hurling is finishing next weekend, this might give us something to talk about before the county action comes back.

I have a soft spot for Rathkenny and was delighted for them on Saturday. Also like to see the Bracks do well, always found them good lads when playing against them.

Have great respect for Kildalkey in the small ball.

Curraha! Think they punch way above their weight!

Plenty of clubs I hate standing on the sideline watching because of supporters but would have to say Summerhill supporters yesterday were great!

I have a liking for Trim as I always found the people in that town very friendly and likeable. Most clubs have mainly good people but they all seem to have someone to get them disliked.

I'd go with summerhill. Play football the right way, and never seem to get too involved in any nonsense on the pitch either. Was happy they won the championship this year.

Side note, think we can look to Gillespie to be the next Meath manager based on his performance to date.
