I have been asked to find this out to settle a friendly argument
One man in my local says Meath wore an all blue strip in the 1970 Leinster final v Offaly the other says all green
It was the Mickey Fay 2 goal 80 minute game where we came back from 10 points down at ht to win
The most authoritative source I know says blue yet two players on the squad insist green
Can anyone help

Meath played in blue and won 2-22 to 5-12. Offaly scored the first point of the 2nd half to go 11 points up.

According to my late farther many years ago who told me Meath wore the blue of Leinster.

Leinster didn't wear blue that was the Munster colours Leinster wore green

There's footage of the 1970 All Ireland final on youtube, where Mícheál O'Hehir mentions Meath wearing all green jerseys and shorts vs Kerry. Maybe that's where some confusion came from?

That's true could have totally taken dad up wrong. . Again before my time. But seemingly there was a blue strip
