Would getting rid of the hand pass in hurling and football improve the game ?

If no handpasses, all you would have to do is get 15 men behind the ball. Player runs into contact, they'd turn around and kick backwards. Would be an awful thing for the game

Probably would slow football down, you might add 'it couldn't get any slower' but the old fisted pass was actually slower than the handpass. As for hurling I'd leave it BUT insist on clear striking action so as to eliminate throwing. In both codes I think there should be no more than two successive handpasses. Then kick or strike.
