I think you guys understand the point I'm making but don't want to acknowledge it. In relation to the county board helping clubs and in particular hurling this only happens when it suits them. They were not thinking too much about hurling when they starting fixing league football matches on Tuesdays before hurling championship matches. Again let me reiterate that Trim have done the county proud and more luck to them.

Foley has a point here. Both Dunshaughlin and Castletown had their u20 football matches pushed by a week to accommodate players. Trim have a 3 day turn around and Dunderry had a 2 day turn around after they got knocked out.
Ratoath u20s also had to play 2 days before their seniors but I doubt there's anyone from the u20 starting or coming on.

Did Trim or Dunderry request the games be pushed back by a week? perhaps they only wanted a 3 day push back?

Dunderry wanted to push their match to the following Friday but county board wouldn't allow so they put the u20s out 2 days after a Leinster quarter final on a bank holiday Monday.

There is 5 group championship games, far too many, in this U21 competition and in senior hurling championship. This causes all sorts of problems. Why do football only have 3 in both?

I see trim beat summerhill today! Wasn't expecting this result with supposedly James murray sitting it out with next weeks Leinster semi final in mind.
I had imagined with Frayne and McDonnell they would have far too much for trim

James Murray didn't play. Poor enough game. Some bad wides from both teams. Trim marginally the better team on the day. 2 goals in the first half the difference.

Final tomorrow who is going to win this one.

Very little about it .

Unfair on Trim having to play 2 games in 3 days then the leinster final the following week

Don-Ash should be heavy favourites. Beat Trim well in the group stage, but Trim have effectively gone quarter final - semi final as last group game was must win away to Senechalstown. Won semi final away to Summerhill as well. All told Don-Ash by 6-7 points.

Should have put a bet on that.

Sure earlier in the thread lads were saying Trim have too much influence on the county board and that fixtures are all being organised to their advantage.

Well Don/Ash
They were the best team in the Championship right through
They seem to be getting things right there now with decent minor teams feeding into 20s - I think this group will push on - surely a Keegan can't be too far off!

Ashbourne had a great underage set up a few years ago when the same crew won 16s, minor then 21s in the space of a few years.

That didn't turn into anything bar a couple of final appearances, one which they left behind them and the other they were dominated in.

A pity that a club of their size hasn't been able to capitalise - particularly when you see what Ratoath and Dunshaughlin have done in comparison.

What Dunshaughlin have done in comparison? What have Dunshaughlin that Ashbourne will be jealous of ? Getting relegated from Senior when they shouldn't have and then winning and Intermediate championship? Yeah I'm sure Ashbourne are extremely envious of Dunshaughlin at the moment.
