Best wishes to Mickey in his retirement from the inter county scene.

A very committed player to the Meath cause. It cannot have been easy for him with injuries and needing ever increasing commitments with not great chances of silverware. Many of the Meath legends that are rightly feted were lucky themselves to be playing on a team that was winning and they got success out of it. Mickey would have been there or thereabouts ref the teams in the successful times.

Hopefully we will continue to see him play with Kilmainham.

Good player down the years for Meath. But for injuries he would have been a top player for us in last 5 years. In last say 20 years a lot of our most talented players (Kevin Reilly/ Shane O'Rourke etc.) and some other players like Gillespie and others who seemed to be promising seem to have been destroyed with injuries, has there been some background issue which makes our players prone to this or is this the case in all counties ?.

Great servant and could have been a brilliant one only for injuries. All the best Mickey. Enjoy the retirement

Wonderful footballer and a lovely fella, gave it all he had for Meath. Can't ask for more.
