Chairman Barney Allen has admitted to being disappointed and annoyed over Pairc Tailteann being overlooked for the All-Ireland club final replay played at Breffni Park last Saturday.

Speaking at Monday night's County Committee meeting on the matter, Allen said that Pairc Tailteann had a pitch second to none, He said the vote was a close one and the Cavan venue just got the nod.

Allen announced that the first round games in the adult football championships will be played over two weekends, April 15 and 22, because of the NHL Division 2B final and similarly the second round matches due to a clash with the Christy Ring Cup.

Simonstown delegate Gerry Fitzpatrick asked why discussion on adult county football teams was not on the clar and the chairman said it was disappointing to lose four successive NFL games after winning the first two.

He expressed the hope that Meath can get back to winning ways against Louth next Sunday and then "pick things up in the championship."

Pat Coyle was ratified as the Meath junior football team manager with Paul Clarke, Richie Cahill and Damien Griffin the selectors.
