Boardsmill celebrate their Junior Camogie Championship victory at Dunsany
Boardsmill 2-4
Drumree 2-3

Dunsany was the venue for the Junior Camogie Championship Final where Boardsmill played Drumree in a much anticipated match. Spurred on by a huge crowd of supporters Boardsmill took to the field for their second appearance in a County Final in two years.

Shona White got things underway with a great point from play, however this was cancelled out at the other end with a point for Drumree. This game was an intense affair as the physicality of it claimed injuries on both sides, with Boardsmill's Laura Bagnall coming out the worst, having to be substituted with a wrist fracture. Both teams traded scores throughout the game with the crucial score for Boardsmill coming from a great Suzann Keogh pass to Caroline Loughran who struck the sliotar in the back of Drumree's net.

Boardsmill were ahead by one point with minutes to go when Drumree pilled the pressure on and managed to keep the sliotar in attack. A huge performance from the Boardsmill backs ensured countless sideline cuts for Drumree, but time was running out and as the referee blew his whistle it was a jubilant Boardsmill team who were crowned the new County Junior Champions 2010.

There were double celebrations when it was announced that Player of the Match was Suzann Keogh of Boardsmill.
