Bhulf Tón qualified for the semi final with a victory over near neighbours Simonstown Gaels thanks to a dominant opening half which saw them lead 0-11 to 0 03 at half time. However a revival by the hosts in the second half narrowed the gap and Tones were struggling to get scores. The visitors were relieved when Rian Fox converted a penalty following a foul on Stephen Sheppard which saw momentum momentarily swing back their way. Sheppard added a point almost immediately as he finished a rebound off the crossbar from a Shane McKeever shot. Daniel Mc Hugh playing his first game after a lengthy absence due to injury marked his display with a fine save from a deflected close range shot to stem the flow as Simonstown sensed blood. However though Simonstown piled on the pressure time ran out and Tones can now look forward to an away semi final against St Pat's Stamullen. It was good to see Adrian Crawford get back to action after injury while this game also saw a first start of the championship season for Padraig Diamond. A big weekend ahead!
