With some of the big guns out for this Round 3 fixture at Dunganny, this was always going to test Kilskyre Moylagh’s strength in depth, and they didn’t disappoint with a real battling display that sees them top the group heading into Round 4 of the group stages.

From the get-go, they chased down in packs, knowing that what they lacked in firepower they could make up for with effort across the park. Replacing the big guns were Sean Tunney, Kit Og Lynch, and notably Luke Harte in his debut season who put in a performance well beyond his years.

For the rest of the team, it was all about effort, and the players who needed to stand up did just that, taking their scores in what was a difficult crosswind. In particular, there were some fine points from play from Paul Hennessy, Conor Rennicks, and Oisin McDermott.

Other notable performances came from James Cooke, Sean Geraghty, and Eoin Briody, who added steel to a workmanlike display that is the foundation of everything that’s good about this squad.
