Kildalkey 6-14 Ratoath 1-16
Kildalkey finished off their Division 4HL campaign with a win at home on Friday night against Ratoaths second team after a lively encounter.
From the start Kildalkey were hungry for goals and got 4 in the half. James Cully hit the first and Steven Murray hit a hat trick all top notch while Cully, Podger Geoghegan, Seán Heavey and Michael Carr all scored points to lead 4-6 to 1-6 at the break but were guilty of some bad wides also and should’ve been more ahead.
But Ratoath rallied in the second half and reduced the gap to 5 points at one stage but points from Heavey, Geoghegan, Cully and Ciaran Browne were vital and 2 goals from Heavey and Ryan Byas opened up a gap again
Byas and Sean Potterton hit the last 2 points to seal the win their third in the division.
Hopefully they continue this form for the championship in a few weeks time.
