St Peter's, Dunboyne...1-09 Ratoath...0-15
A fifth defeat in nine league games leaves Dunboyne dangling just above the bacon slicer that is relegation and in a situation where they must get a win from either of their final two matches against Donaghmore/Ashbourne and Skryne respectively.
Another narrow defeat will have done little to lift spirits in the black and amber camp, with club and county having had to digest the news that Jack Kinlough has once again ruptured his ACL having only recently returned to full training and not played a match since Meath's defeat of Roscommon in the NFL last year. We can but wish him well and hope that he will once again overcome and return.
Though they did trail by 0-04 to 0-08 at the interval, a Sean Delaney goal did get them back to parity half way through the second half. And though the league leaders did eventually clock up another win, David Gallagher can take some solace in the fact that his team's performances are improving, they just need the ball to break their way.
