Boardsmill N.S. 3-8 Kildalkey N.S. 1-2
Having lost last year's decider to the same opposition, Boardsmill finally got their hands on the Meath Cumann na mBunscol Division 2 Camogie title with this comfortable victory over Kildalkey. It was the school's first title since 2004.
Kildalkey played with the aid of the wind, but the winners defended bravely and the teams went into the half-time break level at 1-2 apiece. Caoimhe O'Brien struck the goal for Boardsmill, while Kildalkey goalkeeper Aoife Casey raised a green flag from a long-range free.
Boardsmill dominated the second half, holding their opponents scoreless while adding 2-6 of their own. The outstanding Chloe Mahon accounted for all of that second-half tally, producing a superb display to inspire her side to victory.
After the game, James Battersby presented the Division 2 Camogie Cup to Boardsmill joint captains Orlaith Purcell and Méabh Fitzsimons.
