Navan O Mahonys registered scores of their own, but Moynalty's movement and work rate ensured they remained in front throughout the opening quarter. As the half progressed, John Brogan added another fine point, while a Navan O Mahonys attack was cut out by Tommy Owens, whose quick distribution sparked a Moynalty move that almost resulted in a goal.
