St Peters Dunboyne 3-7 Kilskyre Moylagh 1-22 

The return of their County hurlers Darren O’Higgins, Tom Shine and Fergal Flynn was always going to be a welcome bonus and a shot in the arm for a team needing to get their season going. A stiff contest against an energetic looking Dunboyne was exactly what both sides were looking for as they edge towards Championship. 

Kilskyre Moylagh for the first time this season got off to a lively start closing down the opposition forcing a few chancy shorts before opening their own score with a well worked free converted by Willie McGrath. Dunboyne responded with 1:01 from play to get this game going as a proper contest.  A string of points from McGrath and O’Higgins who topped off the first half with a well-executed goal 3 minutes before the break and Kilskyre Moylagh opened the gap to eight points at the interval.

The second half continued as the first left off for the away team with points from Oisin McDermott, Fergal Flynn and the in form O’Higgins who was enjoying the evening benefiting greatly from the hard-working Luke Harte & McGrath who kept the Dunboyne full back line occupied.
