Kilmainhamwood 4-21 Duleek Bellewstown 0-7

14 man Duleek Bellewstown made the trip to Kilmainhamwood for the earlier start of 10.30am Sunday morning. With the reduced man the Wood management team made a quick tactical substitution replacing Paul Carolan for Matthew Vaughan. Not long after this did Kilmainhamwood open the scoring via viawell taken scores from wing backs Niall Conlan and Darragh Smith. Dylan Ogle and Matthew Vaughan added points before the first goal of the day came via a long ball into the dangerous Niall Bennett operating on the edge of the square. This was followed up by a brace of points by Rian Stafford one from a free. Niall Bennett added a second goal alongside further points from Matthew Vaughan and Aidan Roche. The 6 back kept it tight at the back only allowing Duleek Bellewstown in for 1 point in the first half.

Half time: Kilmainhamwood 2-10 Duleek Bellewstown 0-1

Duleek Bellewstown upped the tempo in the second and shot out of the blocks with 2 quickfire points. This was quickly cancelled out via pointed scores from Rian Stafford and Brian Cassidy. Cillian Burns after being introduced at half time made his presence felt by finishing a well engineered move up the middle of the pitch to the back of the net. Rian Stafford added a 2 point free and a 45 to put the Wood well out of sight. With the result secured there were a raft of changes introduced from the bench, Adam Crosbie one of these introductions got a goal to his name. Joe Shankey, Eoin Finnegan and Cillian Burns also got further points. Darragh Smith finished out the game with the final score to wrap up a comprehensive win for the men in white.
