It was a sunny but cool morning in Kiltale for this Round 4 Division 1HL game between these 2 great rivals who meet again in the first round of the championship but it was the hosts who took the points in this one to top the Division.

Kiltale started brighter and got the first few scores and it took Kildalkey 12 minutes to get their first score through Paddy Barnwell and Paddy Coneely got a second soon after Nicky Potterton hit the next 3 points 2 frees and one from play but Kiltale struck for a goal through Peter Durnin 

Coneely Evan Fitzgerald and Luke Rickard brought their tally to 8 points but it was. Kiltale who led with 1-8 after shooting a lot of wides.

The hosts continued to score in the second half and kept the pressure on Kildalkey but a Nicky Potterton free and a goal kept his team in touch. Points from Conor Kearney Coneely and Kevin Mckeon brought their tally to 1-12 as Kiltale continued to lead but 2 late goals from Potterton cut the deficit to 2 points as the game closed out but in truth Kiltale were the better team on the day the final score read Kiltale 2-17 Kildalkey 3-12
