Despite starting brightly Kildalkey went under to a stronger Rathmolyon in Rathmolyon on Saturday evening.

Points from Conor Barnwell Ben Rickard with 3 and Kelvin Lynch gave the blues a good start but a goal kickstarted Rathmolyon as they led by 1-6 to 0-8 at the break.

Mattie Cully Conor Fitzgerald and Barnwell got the other Kildalkey points.

However the second half belonged to Rathmolyon as they outscored Kildalkey 14 points to 4 

A number of injuries didn’t help Kildalkey’s cause as 4 players had to go off with different injuries 

Cully (2), Aaron Potterton and Jamie Kavanagh hit the 4 scores but Rathmolyon dominated that second half hitting a string of lovely scores to win the game by 1-20 to 0-12
