
Castletown 4-21 Dunsany 1-9
Castletown travelled on Saturday afternoon to Kilmessan to a pitch in excellent condition and brilliant weather conditions and came away with a 20 points victory over Dunsany.
The winners were dominant in the opening period and led 2-16 to 0-3 at halftime. Scores from Daragh Weldon 0-9 (1-2ptf), Rian McConnell 1-3(2fs), Declan Cribbin 1-1 and one point each for Dan Moran, Mark Kelly and Adam Matthews.
Dunsany kicked 1-6 with 1-5 from play in the second half to Castletowns 2-5 in reply with 2-4 from play. The Castletown marksmen were Rian 1-2 , Adam Wogan 1-0 and one point each for Daire Weldon a pointed free, Sean Mc Keown and second half substitute Conal Sheridan from play.
