A stellar line-up of 2026 Glenveagh Homes Gaelic4Girls ambassadors has been boosted by the addition of newly-appointed Meath senior team captain and TG4 All-Star, Niamh Gallogly. 

From the Dunshaughlin and Royal Gaels club, Niamh is a key player for the Royal County and she recently assumed the prestigious role of team captain for the 2026 campaign, which begins next Sunday with a home tie against Galway in Round 1 of the Lidl National League. 

Niamh (28) joins a list of accomplished LGFA inter-county stars who will serve as Glenveagh Homes Gaelic4Girls ambassadors, with 23 clubs from Ireland and Britain set to participate in the programme in 2026. 

Also on board as ambassadors once again this year are Jenny Higgins (Roscommon), Louise Ward (Galway), Leah Caffrey (Dublin), Aimee Mackin (Armagh), Bláithín Bogue (Fermanagh), Laurie Ryan (Clare) and Síofra O’Shea (Kerry). 

Speaking about the news, 2025 TG4 All-Star Niamh said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be confirmed as a new LGFA Glenveagh Homes Gaelic4Girls ambassador. Growing up in Meath, Gaelic Games gave me confidence, friendships and a lifelong love of sport, and Gaelic4Girls does that for so many young girls across the county and beyond. To be able to give back, support volunteers, and inspire the next generation to enjoy football in a fun, welcoming environment means a huge amount to me. I’m proud to represent a programme that champions participation, positivity and inclusion, and I can’t wait to get involved, meet the girls, and help grow our game together always.”

About Glenveagh Homes Gaelic4Girls: 

Gaelic4Girls is a 10-week programme incorporating coaching sessions with fun non-competitive blitzes aimed at increasing participation in Ladies Gaelic Football. The programme targets girls aged between 8-12 years who are not currently registered with a Ladies Gaelic Football club.
