
Meath have a strong representation in this years Sigerson Cup competition. A total of 22 footballers from 13 different clubs will be hoping to get their hands on the highest prize in 3rd level Colleges football.
Dunshaughlin have the highest number of players with six including county seniors Charlie O’Connor, Conor Gray, Conor Duke and All Star nominee Ruairi Kinsella who all line out for Maynooth University. The Kildare College also include Eoghan Frayne and Brian O'Halloran in their ranks.

The 2026 Sigerson Cup gets underway today with four first round ties down for decision.
First up is the meeting of St Mary's University College and Maynooth University in St Mary's at 1.30pm. TUS Midlands host MTU Kerry in Athlone at 7pm, while holders DCU Dóchas Éireann begin their title defence against Ulster University in Burren at 7.30pm.
Also taking place at 7.30pm in Grangegorman is the meeting of TU Dublin and DkIT.
There are four more Round 1 fixtures taking place tomorrow. They are UCD v ATU Galway in Belfield at 7.30pm, Queen's University Belfast v University of Galway in Abbottstown at 7.30pm, MTU Cork v University of Limerick in MTU Campus at 7.30pm and ATU Sligo v UCC in Edenderry at 8pm.
