
Slane LGFA is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and committed individual for the position of Manager of our two Adult Ladies Football teams for the upcoming 2026 season.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, management, and performance of both squads, working closely with players and club officers to continue developing talent, teamwork, and performance at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the two adult teams, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all players to develop to the best of their ability.
Develop and implement a comprehensive coaching and development programme for the season.
Recruit and oversee a qualified backroom team (e.g., selectors, coaches, physio, S&C coach, etc.).
Plan and run training sessions and manage the teams on match days.
Abide by and promote the guidelines and Code of Behaviour for Gaelic Games and all LGFA rules and policies, including child protection and fair play.
Liaise effectively with club officers, players, and parents (where applicable) to ensure seamless communication.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
Proven track record in management/coaching of Gaelic football teams, preferably at adult level.
Relevant coaching qualification (e.g., minimum LGFA Fundamentals/Award 1 Coaching Certificate is desirable).
Demonstrable leadership, planning, organisational, and communication skills.
Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development by attending relevant courses.
Must be fully compliant with current Garda vetting and Safeguarding requirements as required by the LGFA.
