Two late points from Conor Briody was enough for Carlanstown to claim the Boys Division 3 title at Lomans Park Trim. The team in Red and Black won the Division 4 last year.

Skryne played with the wind in the first half and led at the break 0-8 to 0-3. The teams were level 0-3 each after 12 minutes but five unanswered points from Paidi Dardis, Ben Gibbons, Naoise Butler, Michael Looby and Alfie Nelson gave Scoil Cholmcille control at the break.

Carlanstown wasted no time in reducing that lead and by the 5th minute of the second half they were level thanks to  points from Tom Moriarty, Conor Briody (2) and a Ryan Sweeney goal. With ten minutes to go Carlanstown led 1-9 to 0-10 and looked good for victory. Alex Sweeney, Briody and Moriarty (2) pushed that lead out further but Skryne found another gear. Goals from Cian Murphy and Naoise Reuter left the game all square. Carlanstown refused to panic and with the last plays of the game midfielder Conor Briody sent over two brilliant points to claim victory.

After the game joint captains Tom Moriarty and Alex Sweeney received the Division 3 cup from Mickey Newman.
