Killary Emmets 3-7 Na Fianna 0-8
Killary Emmets Under 15’s finished their season in style with this victory in the Meath Under 15 Division 3 Cup final at Kilmainham. PHOTOS
Na Fianna were on the scoreboard first through Sean Treanor but Killary gained controlled when Jack Smyth fired home a penalty. Padraig McKeown followed up with a point and soon after Tom McKeown was in for goal number two. The Syddan Castletown combination were to the dressing rooms at the break 2-2 to 0-2 in front.
That lead was extended after two minutes in the second half when Padraig McKeown raised their third green flag leaving Na Fianna with a mountain to climb. But they keep going and points from Kyle Kavanagh, Rhys King and four in a row from Ciaran McDonagh narrowed the lead to 3-4 to 0-8. Killary needed a score to settle them and Tom McKeown obliged from a tricky free. Ben Gaughran and Tom McKeown added points before the full time whistle to insured victory.
After the game Helen Black presented the Declan Black Memorial Cup to joint captains Padraig McKeown and Ben Gaughran.
