St Peter's, Dunboyne 2-18 Killary Emmets 1-13

It was a case of exactly as it said in the above headline as, despite fielding a much changed line up from their previous two outings, Dunboyne made it three Friday nights, three wins, in this U-19 FC encounter at Castletown.

Their prior victories over St Patrick's and Ratoath meant that they were already through to an eagerly anticipated semi final clash with St Colmcille's - just six weeks after the sides met in the MFC Final - but this was still a fine display. Goals from defenders Paul Dempsey and Ronan Kelly left the eventual winners clear by 2-07 to 1-06 at half time and an eight point contribution from introduced subs before Eamon Barry called for the ball and concluded a satisfying evening's work.
