For the first time in over thirty years the Meath Cumann na mBunscol finals were not played in Pairc Tailteann. Trim and Ashbourne played hosts to the opening two days and as always the ability, skills and sportsmanship along the the excitement lived up to expectations.

It started in Lomans Park Trim on Wednesday October 22nd with five finals. Boyerstown became the first winners of a football title in 2025 with a comfortable win over Drumconrath in the Girls Division 4 final. Mulhussey and Kilskyrne served up an 18 goal thriller in the Girls Division 5 final. O’Growney closed out Day 1 with their first ever title.

Ashbourne hosted Day 2 for the very first time and the fantastic facilities at the ‘Moors’ venue proved an ideal location. Despite the early start on Sunday morning a large crowd turned up to see Stackallen girls claim their first title in over 29 years. Four goals for Baconstown were crucial as they made home with the Boys Division 4 title. There was a first ever title for Gaelscoil na Cille Cill Dhéagláin. It was one apiece for Bohermeen and Kilcloon in the last two games of another great day of football.

Unfortunately Day 3 scheduled for Trim this Sunday is postponed. There are six titles still to be decided with St. Colmcilles SNS looking to land both Division 1 crowns. The boys at the Kells school are chasing a 3 in a row.
